I was really excited this past week when I was able to attend the Scrapbooking Expo. I had never been to one before and wow, oh, wow! There were so many goodies to explore!
I was able to go to Tina Sutton's Close to My Heart booth and see a lot of the stamp sets in the catalogs that I have never seen in person. Luckily enough, I saw the stamp set "Childhood Portrait" that I have been wanting to purchase for a while. It's such an elegant, romantic, and whimsical stamp set. I also picked up Jeanette Lynton's "Wishes" card layout book. It has a lot of great ideas that I hope will help me create more cards for Operation Write Home.
Speaking of which, I created this card with my new stamp set. I used cardstock from Autumn Harvest for my design. No patterned papers on this card! The stamp color is in Cocoa. It's such a rich color that looks great with this color scheme!
Also, welcome to my new followers! I hope you like what you see and I can't wait to look at your creations! :)
