Birthday Wishes

I was really excited when I found the challenge blog, Seize the Birthday, last week.  I often make "Thank You" cards when I'm crafting.  However, it's always good to have some birthday cards stored away, as well!

So, on with the card sketch that was our challenge for this week:

And this is my creation:

I mixed a lot of different mediums when making this card: Burlap ribbon, Washi tape, and Ink spray!

I used our CTMH Slate Washi tape to make the accent on my pennant.  I placed the tape on our White Daisy cardstock and then cut out the strip.  I liked having the white dots come through the tape.

I added accent brads to each side of the 'Birthday Wishes' banner (stamped on our Cricut Artiste chipboard set).  It gives the card a little something extra!

Thank you for visiting!

CTMH Items Used:
Paper: Outdoor Denim and Lagoon cardstock
Ink: Honey
Stamp: CTMH Cricut Artiste collection
Embellishments: Slate Washi Tape, Pewter Accent Brads, Burlap Ribbon

  1. Hi Brittany, I am also a ctmh consultant. Just saw you posted about my Later Sk8r so thought I'd pop over and see your blog. Really nice. I like this card with the white behind the tape. Clever. And your chipboard accent made me remember I have a bunch of that in my stash that I never remember to use. Thanks for the inspiration to get going!

  2. awesome card and i love the use of fiber :) Thanks for joining us on Seize the Birthday.
