Lifting Spirits

Have you had the opportunity to peek at Close to My Heart's Holidays From the Heart Gift Guide?  The products in this mini catalog are awesome!  The products range from Christmas to every day themed stamps, paper, accessories, and 3D gift & decor items.

Since I've been posting quite a few Christmas themed projects lately, I thought I would post a birthday card today instead.  I was inspired by a card in the gift guide using the Lifting Spirits stamp set to create this:

There are so many new products found on this card from the gift guide!

I used Kraft card stock as the base of my card.  I used the CTMH Spray Pen to spritz white ink onto the base.  I cut Smokey Plum card stock into a Polaroid pennant using my exacto knife.

In the gift guide, you will find our great new Washi Tapes!  There are two different sets (with three rolls in each set - 15 yards on each roll!)  I used the Sparkle and Shine washi in Juniper and Shiny Silver to cover the card in vertical strips.  I embellished this card element using White bakers twine and a sparkle gem.  You'll also notice that I frayed the Juniper washi tape with my micro tip scissors to add extra dimension.

I used the Lifting Spirits set to stamp the airplane, pennant, and clouds.  I colored the plane using my Blending Pen with CTMH colors Juniper, Gypsy, and Creme Brulee.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the new set, Banner Wishes

Look for more posts soon providing additional projects made from items in the CTMH gift guide.  Happy crafting!
