10 December 2013

This week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, we're asking that everyone creates a piece of artwork that involves some sort of movement.  This was tricky for me!  I always make art that doesn't move.  Hah!  So, I decided to create a card that also provided a pocket for a gift tag.

I used my favorite Christmas paper, Sparkle and Shine, for the base of my card.  I created the pocket using a My Creations Small Paper Pouch.  I covered the pocket with Juniper card stock.  Then, I created the silver and red stripe design using our Sparkle and Shine Washi Tape.  (Love, love these tapes!)

I stamped some snowflakes in Juniper ink onto the card stock.  I also stamped the sentiment "Greetings" in Whisper ink.  To top it off, I added bitty sparkles at the top of the pocket.  I wrapped Grey Wool bakers twine around the pocket and knotted the ends into a bow.  I adhered a sparkled button on top of the bow, as well.  Phew!  Lots of extra embellishments!

Inside of the pocket, you'll find the following: a chipboard tag (covered with the Sparkle and Shine patterned paper) and adorned with the "Holly Jolly" sentiment.

How will you interpret the "moving on" challenge?  I can't wait to see!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Your card looks great! I like how you interpreted the Moving On H2H challenge!

  2. LOVE how you sanded the edges! :)
