Holiday Cheer!

Can you believe that Christmas is only four days away.  Four.

4!

Where has time gone?  Somehow, this holiday season has flown right past me.  I'm trying to catch up!  However, I have pretty much finished all of my shopping and today, I did mail out my Christmas cards.  So, now it's just the matter of enjoying these few days before December 25th.

I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Have you seen it yet?

Super simple, and crazy intimidating to me!  There is something about a simple card that makes me nervous.  I want to add embellishments, paper layers, etc.  And yet, challenges such as these allow me to stretch my creative muscles, if you will.  So...

I pulled out my CTMH Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape assortment and created the pennant banner.  I stamped the "Holiday Cheer" sentiment in Ruby ink inside of a stamped banner from the Season's Tweetings stamp set.

I used Whisper card stock as my base.  I used Whisper ink to stamp the assortment of snowflakes in the background.  I may have also sanded the card... just a little bit, I promise!  I added a few bitty sparkles, as well.

The only problem?  I don't think I need any more Christmas cards for this season.  Into the stash for next year it goes!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you're interested in learning any further about the products used on this card, feel free to visit my website or leave a comment below! :)

  1. Beautiful card! I love the snowflake background, and I'm so glad you decided to play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches even though you found the sketch to be intimidating at first. We'd never know -- you made it look easy.

  2. Love your card. Great background! And I had to chuckle because it looks like we used the same Washi tape in the same way. :)

    1. CTMH products easily inspire, don't they?! The Sparkle & Shine washi tape is gorgeous. It will take quite a while to use up the whole roll!
